Turf Christmas Market

With it finally being the beginning of February, it’s got us over at team turf thinking about this past year!

With issue 5 coming together nicely and heading to you all this March we’ve been busy to say the least, and the last few months have definitely flown by, but we wanted to take a moment to step back to December & chat about the major success of our very first Christmas market!

Throwing it back to two days before our event, I’m standing in the field behind my house, knee deep in a shuck, with my grandads wooden shears half way up a holly tree gathering every bit of foliage I can to deck out our beautiful venue of st. Thomas’, but of course it was months in the making!

We spent a lot of time curating our vendors and hand picked 18 of some of the very best makers from all over Ireland to us for our festive market, and we are very grateful to each of them for coming along!

Rachel Campbell from Bailies Coffee

On the night we saw hundreds of you come along to support turf and all the vendors, we were blown away by how many smiling faces came through the doors, and we are so grateful for your continued support of Turf. When we were planning the event, we knew we wanted to take the opportunity to raise money for charity & it wasn’t long before we decided on the amazing Flourish NI as our designated charity! With a raffle of an amazing selection of our vendors offerings, & the generosity of Bailies coffee on the night,  we were able to raise a whopping £385 for Flourish NI which will go towards their amazing work, if you’d like to see more of what flourish NI do, head over to https://flourishni.org

Thank you for reading & supporting us over at Team Turf, we really do see you as apart of that so thank you for being here! and we hope you are excited about Issue 5: Migration- we definitely are! Until then,
